SNARK AND STAGE FRIGHT, a full-length novel, is the gripping, heartwarming and funny conclusion to the international category bestselling SNARK AND CIRCUMSTANCE series by Stephanie Wardrop! Georgia Barrett learns the hard way that happily ever after isn’t nearly as happy or as close to forever as Jane Austen would have us believe. Georgia's sharp tongue costs her the only guy she’s ever really cared about: Michael Endicott. Determined to move on, Georgia lands the lead role in the school’s fall musical. But to survive on stage, she’ll need to express herself without the protective shield of snark. She soon discovers being honest with others means being honest with herself, and the truth is; she’s still in love with Michael. But from the looks of Michael’s new girlfriend, Georgia isn’t the only one moving on. Apparently, some people are just better at it than others. And when Michael and his girlfriend join the cast of the fall musical, Georgia finds out that snark and stage fright are the least of her worries.

When Georgie lets her snark flag fly at the parties in the Cape I laughed so hard but when she couldn’t control herself at the most inopportune time I felt so bad for both Micheal and Georgia. This is the tale of two sweet although stubborn people who care for each other but are afraid to say anything to each other after the moment of embarrassment for both of them. This is how they struggle to live apart from each other and still maintain a friendship. You can tell throughout that each wanted to be with the other and Micheal even schemed ways to be around her but she didn’t bite. The snark of Georgia was missed by many of her friends at lunch as she sunk into her own world and didn’t realize things going on around her. When Micheal saves the day for her sister without meaning to Georgia feels affronted and this sets them back. But Micheal is determined and so are their friends. The one friend I felt for was David. Poor guy had no chance with Georgia. He tried though..These two are fun to read about and the tale of them apart and how they handle it is a cute read. The story of the play is great to add into the mix. I am so happy when one finally gets the courage to do what is needed and a Happy ending comes about. Before that though each character is likable. There is just enough sappy in each one with a hint of fun and snark to make the sappy good. The story is a fun quick read that keeps your attention and doesn’t give you too much of the same you see in romances of the past where guy and girl split and we have the romance of ages. Here we see what people go through and their emotions. We see jealousy and plotting to get back together without it really happening when they want it to. We see the love for each other shine through even when each other doesn’t see it. At times Micheal can be judgmental but that is his upbringing and he does learn to control it and Georgia can be snarky at the wrong times but it works out because through all that happened they begin to learn to control it.A truly fun cute quick read of two teens who like each other but because of pride and stubbornness stay apart after a painful separation due to an embarrassing moment for one and mortification for the other. When the happy ending comes you can’t help but smile.

Hernandez I loved this book. It's easily my favorite in the series, and not just because the couple on the cover finally resembles what Georgia and Michael look like in my head. In some ways, this story is very different than the rest of the series, and in other ways, it's familiar. Now that Georgia and Michael are in a relationship, things are anything but smooth sailing. When Michael takes Georgia to his family's beach house on Cape Code for his cousin's wedding, Georgia feels more out of place in his world than ever. Add a hot neighbor who also happens to be a model with designs on Michael, a disapproving grandmother, and a lecherous literary giant with a roaming tongue, and the waters go from rough to stormy. What I love most about this book is the level of angst and the way author, Stephanie Wardrop, keeps it fueling the plot without ever threatening to overpower the story. And also maybe because it's not from the plot of Pride and Prejudice, I didn't know what was coming, which kept me turning the pages to find out what happened next.PlotThe plot is almost entirely about Michael and Georgia's relationship, with almost no subplotting, but it's so well done, it doesn't matter. By now, I adore the characters and I'm invested in their story.CharactersGeorgia is her snarktastic self as she tries to fit into Michael's world, deal with their eventual breakup, and work hard to get over him. The characters, true to themselves, make everything far more difficult by not communicating, making assumptions, and in true Michael/Georgia fashion, wasting time the could be together, not being together.Top Five Things I Loved About Snark and Stage Fright1. Georgia. Her vulnerability and wit mix in hilarious fashion, reminding me why I love her so much.2. Michael. Yeah, there are times I wanted to throttle him, but after he bears his soul in heartbreakingly sweet fashion, he's completely redeemed.3. Diana. The girl you love to hate is completely lovable and impossible to hate. I absolutely love this refreshing take on the romantic rival.4. The kids. All the little von Trapps that Georgia is hired to watch backstage are beyond cute and bring another layer of comic relief.5. Dave. Georgia's friend and potential post-Michael love interest is adorable in his awkwardness, and even though I knew Michael and Georgia belonged together, there was a small part of me pulling for Dave.Bottom LineMy favorite book in the Snark and Circumstance series, it's full of witty dialogue, endearing characters, and angsty drama that all build to a perfectly satisfying conclusion.DisclaimerI was provided a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

She's a seriously talented writer who had me from the first word of the first page. This book was full of so many amazing lines it's hard to choose a favorite. There were things about the main character, Georgiana - or George, that were vastly different from me - I'm not so in-tune with the vegan, PETA lifestyle, for one - but the core of who she was resonated with me. I'm also a passionate person with a brain-to-mouth filter that malfunctions at inopportune moments. George made me cringe at times, but she also made me laugh, she made me love her.The main premise of the book is the relationship between George and Michael, but just like the reality of high school, the characters are also navigating much larger issues in the midst of it.In all, I enjoyed this book immensely - both the writing and the story. I highly recommend checking out Stephanie Wardrop's writing.*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I will be happily purchasing the rest of the author's books now that I've read this one, though!
