Ray The Witch’s Kiss: Episodes 1 & 2 by Antara Mann is a hilarious tale of the witch, Ezemalda and her Genie and their adventures as they try to stay one step ahead of the Dark Prince.In Episode 1, Ezemalda uses King Nruk’s love for his daughter as a ruse to get him to kiss her and break the spell that has turned her from a beautiful woman into a horrible looking old crone. Once she is free of the spell, she undergoes a change of heart and decides to sacrifice herself in order to free the Genie from the bottle, in which the Dark Prince has imprisoned him for ages. Affected by Ezemalda’s sacrifice, the Genie in turn goes to great lengths to free her, and ultimately, she is freed and they go into business together.In Episode 2, the Dark Prince is determined to exact revenge on both of them for besting him, first using a mortal who has mortgaged her soul to him. The result is Ezemalda and the Genie becoming the Dark Prince’s servants, but they find a reversal spell that forces him to free them. The episode ends with the Dark Prince sending a message to Lilith an evil minion, and her agreement to punish Ezemalda and the Genie.The book ends with their fates unresolved, and left me gnashing my teeth wondering; what next?A funny fantasy with more twists and turns than a Coney Island roller coaster, this is a book that you will definitely enjoy.I received a free copy of this bundle in exchange for my unbiased review.

Welcome to the Suggestively-Applied Magic Department By Denniger Bolton When a witch frees a genie, one of the oldest magical creatures on Earth from his bottle,at great cost to herself, they start a new life as the two become partners in a workshop for good magic and even receive an award from the king for Best Magic Workshop. When a countess comes to them to have a dark spell removed, put upon her and her husband the count and all their subjects, the unlikely duo takes on the near impossible challenge to go up against the Dark Prince, aka You-Know-Who. Lots of fun in this mystical, magical fantasy adventure which includes Book One and Book Two. Now reading Book Three is a must for me. Good writing and an entertaining.story.

Luckily, this bundle lets you continue the adventure with the second episode. There, I feel like the author grew into the lofty world-building she began in the first book in the series. The adventure sucked me in quickly and held my attention until the end --- in fact, I read the whole book in one sitting. All of the characters --- both heroes and villains --- are becoming more fleshed out and I can hardly wait for the third book in the series.
