About the Author Walker is a native of the Gulf Coast, but has been fortunate to have visited other parts of the United States and some parts of Europe and Great Britain. As in his other stories, Walker doesn’t see himself as any of his characters, but does include small parts of his makeup in them. Having worked in the Aircraft Industry for many years and the writing field for about twelve, he has been exposed to many people, women and men of many types and has considered many of them friends. He feels that this has given him insight to people’s characteristics to form the characters for his stories. Every one of us is unique unto his or herself, with their own qualities, frailties and flaws. These are the things he tries to deal with in his stories.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Huckleberry Finns meets Matlock meets Walker Texas Ranger By Craig A. Price At first I was unsure of the story. It began slowly and had a little more backstory than I thought it needed. The writing is a bit more tell and not enough show, but I keep failing to remember this is first person. And the main character is a lot like Huckleberry Finn, a simple man with a great heart. As I read on, I really came to love the character and I realized how well done the voice of the character was. By the time I was a hundred pages in, I didn't want to put the book down. It only grew more and more interesting as the pages turned. I grew to love all the characters, especially the romantic element that was constructed very nicely. This novel is a great historical featured in the small town of Mobile, AL and it has a feel of Huckleberry Finn meets Matlock meets Walker Texas Ranger. I'm looking forward to reading more by this author. My only suggestion is he improve the formatting in the paperback, and produce an eBook version.
