About the Author Ari Abraham is a writer of American mind, Malaysian body and British soul. For some reason, Ari has always been telling tales. Growing up in England he held court in the living room at Christmastime. During his time at primary school in Malaysia he weaved a story so convincing about running away from home his parents were called in on suspicion of negligent behavior. Upon returning to England and his subsequent escape to America, he harnesses his storytelling skills to earn a simple crust. During his time masquerading as professional writer Ari has collaborated with magnificent purveyors of stories such as Chaos Created in England, Fountainhead Transmedia, Part & Sum and Campfire in New York as well as Blacklight Transmedia, 3AD, Little House, Undercurrent, and NOBL Los Angeles where he currently consults as their Entertainment Lead. Ari now has made peace with the fact he will always have to face the blank screen to make a living. This struggle is salved by terrorizing his wife Samantha on a daily basis for therapeutic relief. This little book full of tales will have you flipping through the pages laughing, crying, cringing and wanting more. I was always curious for what follows after the last page in each story,leaving the door open for my imagination to take over, and that's a mark of a good author in my book.With "Trick or Treat" around the corner, I'd say this is a treat!

Above and beyond being just a collection of spooky fun stories, Tall Tales manages to strike at the very heart of humanity and capture everything from our ability to hope and love ("Christmas Eve" moved me cry), our need for connection and the enduring spiritual bonds we can build ("Missing Hank" made me cry MORE) right down to our darkest, most twisted depravities (read "Halal" and shudder). The stories zip excitingly around the globe from Asia to the Amazonian forests, and the writer's specificity of knowledge in each region is impressive. Between the vast array of geographical and mystical references as well as the compelling core of humanity driving each story, I believe every reader will find something they will want to read and re-read.
