It’s a story of how a young girl faces true to life abuse and circumstances that could have easily labeled the rest of her life as failure. The writing is colorful, descriptive and keeps the reader's interest, as the little red-haired girl comes to life on the pages of her book. This author has given us a great first effort with this pull-your-heart-strings tale. It's an enjoyable read.

Her mistakes build one on another until she doesn't know how she will ever fix all things that are wrong in her life. Jade is also a story of hope and second chances and finding family when the one you were born with doesn't work anymore. This is a wonderful first novel from a promising new author!
