1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Sweet, "girl-next-door" love story By Louise Keith Jenny is a farmer's daughter whose neighbor David has been her best friend since childhood. This is a chaste story of how nice kids handle falling in love. It was refreshing as well as interesting, told in flashback scenes from Jenny's high school years showing her prize livestock at county & state fairs to her dismay at losing time with David while he was on his 2 year mission outreach. Great for younger teens, shows how some guys will protect girls while others will try to use them (no sex scenes, thank goodness!), and how a true gentleman treats a gal that he loves.

Robyn Buttars clearly knows the territory well, both physical and emotional. Her love story is crafted with care. One gets the strong sense of the emotions of young love, told with tenderness. Robyn proves you can tell a great romantic story without being explicit.

I don't know much about the dairy world, but I was still interested in the character's problems and enjoyed watching them work through them to find their happy endings. Recommended for fans of clean romance, and especially for those who enjoy country settings.
