Review Mr. Brown is to be commended for producing such a fantastic adventure novel... Not bad considering it's his first book! I am looking forward to more from this new novelist. The setting is original. It's not fantasy per see, but fantasy readers would be captivated by the character development and plot! Mechanically, the book is extremely well written, and it's a straight-forward read. It comes between Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Frozen and Braveheart! Not a bad combination! -D.S. That potential was lost in the first few pages. I kept reading hoping to see it return. No such luck. The editor and proof reader need to be fired. The spelling,sentence structure and continuity were totally lacking. Mr Brown had a really good story but lacked the support team he needed to polish and render it a readable book. Won't waste my time or money on any other of his books.

The peacetime coronation is majestic and the wartime scenes are gritty... and I mean that in a good way. Brown never mentions that these are from Viking lands. He doesn't have to do so as it's obvious to most. What a completely original adventure!
