About the Author Bunny Chapman is a second-generation blues and jazz singer whose other passion is the written word. Her current novel Little Mandie and The Mob, was inspired by a true story—her own! She is also the author of a children’s book, Shanu the Watcher, and is completing a novel entitled Jiggy Frisco—Coldblooded Murder that will be the first in a series. Bunny lives with husband Paul and her cat T.T. in Mississippi, just two blocks from the beach on the Gulf of Mexico.

It is a clever little novel and takes you back to the1930s with an interesting tale of little Mandie and her family. The author gives a great feel for thattime period and that is something I enjoy when engrossed in a good "get away from reality book". It was a desperate time for so much of the country, as told by Mandie when shespoke of her Grandma and her family..but had the thrill of the Gangsters of the time when Mandievisited and lived with her Grandpa. Very nice for a quick and easy read!
