1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Not quite what I expected By James I gave the product four stars due to it's interesting content. Deutschland Uber Allah traces the history of supposed German supremacy in the Ottoman Empire in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I say supposed because this was written by a Brit, not a German or Ottoman, and was published towards the end or shortly after World War I, and cannot be considered objective or academic. It is useful as an example of British propaganda in the early 20th century, however, and Benson does point out a number of truths in the German-Ottoman relationship, though he misinterprets many of them into meaning Germany controlled the Ottoman Empire. Overall, an interesting though flawed pamphlet. Also, this edition does not include copyright or any publisher information, which is the main reason a star was knocked off the rating.
