About the Author Ms. Grey has never had a life without books. When she was a baby, her mother weaned her from nursing straight to a book; when she was a child, her mother would complain that she didn't read books, she ate them. One family vacation when Arreyn was fourteen, she found herself without a book. That was the day she started writing her own. Arreyn resides in South Jersey with her family, and is sadly bereft of cats. She feels that until she is owned by at least one cat, she cannot truly call herself an author. But in the meantime, she enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons and Star Wars: The Old Republic with her delightful friends. She is an avid Philadelphia sports fan, as well as an amateur model and photographer. She loves singing, dancing, and sewing-- often at the same time, with occasionally disastrous results. Yes it's been done before but it is written so realistically that the characters feel like they exist and they end up being quit By Amazon Customer A new and detailed take on a classic genre. Yes it's been done before but it is written so realistically that the characters feel like they exist and they end up being quite likeable. Not my genre but definitely something I'd read again and suggest to others.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great light read with potential to be an excellent series. By Sean Smith I had the pleasure of picking this up off of a whim. Although the genre is a little outside of my normal choice of reading material it was still an engaging ride that I look forward to continuing when the second book is released. The characters were dynamic, not only were they interesting, they evolved within the story which made them feel real. My only issue was how fast the conflict was resolved, this impacted my opinion very little as I'm aware there is more to come from this story and the event that took place was just a minor struggle in what has the potential to be an epic tale.

By Emmy Fleming Written at a very good pace with beautifully developed characters and one of the best, most nerve-wracking villains I've read in a long time. Once the story begins to unfold, it's extremely hard to put the book down until you reach the end. The author takes an overdone creature and puts a very unique, intriguing spin on it, opening a whole new world of powers and abilities. Definitely excited to see where the next book goes. Can't wait to read more!
