“I’m leaving Hell for good, Eurydice…” When she heard those words, Eurydice had a choice: remain in Hades’ realm or escape to Earth with her kinswoman, Persephone. She knew the Earth wasn’t what they’d left. Demeter hadn’t summoned Persephone to bring Spring for quite some time…and the last dead crossed the River Styx many years before. She hadn’t expected to arrive in a world where trains rode across the prairie on metal tracks instead of chariots and men settled disputes with six guns instead of swords. Eurydice will face perils both immortal and mortal, from gun and axe to her own heart…

I'm happy to say, it delivers. My only complaint is there isn't enough of her in print. I can honestly say that this author has joined the ranks of my favorites, the Keepers, and I will be watching and waiting for more. Please say there's going to be more! This story isn't long yet it's a destination. Ms Kyle uses prose adeptly in a way I associate with Stephen King and her imagination is refreshing- a modern day Mark Twain slinging the odd twist with the right touch of macabre. She's easy to read, her world is easy to live in and offers delight to the avid reader. That's not to say it's simplistic or trite... I found myself researching back story to learn more. I was comfortable in her descriptions and could engage well in the goings on. Her characters are plausible and well treated, their stories move along and weave together in the best way.I would recommend this book... It's just fine reading.

Nymph'd in the Bud or Showdown West of Hades By read and writer Belief plays a big part in afterlife assignments...for some it is green eggs and ham, and for others it is Hell. This is where the author starts her journey, and if you are newly dead, it is by boat. Ralph Bakshi’s Wizards and darker vision of Fantasia immediately came to mind as I followed the characters, which are deep and intelligent, with a hint of Hercules. It is a fun ride for those not exposed to real mythology and lore. Therefore, along with the gold of the dead, the tale grabs hold and sends you into time. Not always a casual read, because history and learning are painted into most passages. However, it allows you to visualize more than a story, as the two women and their three headed dog leave the Underworld and walk into the Wild West. What you will learn at the end, is Don’t shoot the piano player…even if they are rooted at the bench like any other woodland nymph, the Midnight Train does not always go to Georgia, and you’d be much obliged, sample apple pie whenever it is offered.Take the opportunity to travel the mind of this author. If you do, her characters will stay with you long past a roll of the dice.

Fanny and Dice is a must read for anyone who loves Paranormal Fiction By Sandra Gallo I read a lot of Paranormal Fiction and i have to say that Fanny and Dice did not disappoint me. it grabbed hold of me at the very beginning and i could not put it down. The characters were great, the plot unique and i have to admit i did not want the story to end. it was a great twist on an old myth. To say i loved it, falls short. i can't wait to see what RFK comes up with next. i have a new favorite author added to my list.
