It was, and maybe still is, a little known culture. It was interesting to learn about the gypsy way of daily life through Victorias eyes. Following her journey from a young girl to being a 'Puridaia', was captivating and I found myself unable to put the book down. It's an excellent read!

The book is interesting, very descriptive and well written. I started reading in the evening and could not put it down until the wee hours of the morning.

The author created a story based on actual events and people that immersed me into the life and rich culture of Victoria and her family. Her descriptions of the characters, their everyday lives, and their emotions brought the story to life. I had no idea that gypsies had such a presence in CT history. This book inspired me to learn more about the gypsy people and their culture.
